Never had seen this mentioned as an OS9 experience--I spoze most everyone has moved beyond OS9 and is concerned with their X problems--but the other day, I had a strange experience. I had a -41 error message involving something called the "Time Synchronizer". This happened on a PM8500>OS 9.0. Computer would start up and load the extensions but would bomb before loading the desktop. Running diagnostic utilities didn't solve the problem. Finally, while trying to do an OS reinstall, I got a message that the Finder had a problem. I trashed the Finder pref, reinstalled the OS and the problem was fixed. I'm a happy computer user. Next day, I pick up my monthly copy of MacAddict and right there on page 60, first article in How To is an explanation and a how-to-fix for -41 errors. Now, iffen I'd only had this the day BEFORE it happened........<smile>
Just thought I'd mention this in case anyone else still using 9 has the same situation and doesn't know what to do about it. -- Lee Freedman CEO, Poverty Computer Users Group -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
