Do you have a volt meter or battery tester? I had one that tested OK but when I popped a new one in "life" was restored to my MiniTower!!! A tester may show yours to be OK but low-voltage battery testers can not replicate the "load" placed on a PRAM battery especially at start-up.
Had the same experience. There was enough residual voltage to get a reading, but not enough to allow the unit to start up. Replacement fixed the problem. -- Lee Freedman CEO, Poverty Computer Users Group -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
