You have NICE friends. Hardware-wise, you're fine. Software-wise, you'll 
want tup upgrade to 10.2 for best support of that Radeon card (and for a 
generally MUCH better computing experience overall.)

I'll say it again...10.1.5 to 10.2 was a major leap in functionality and 
performance, and well worth the investment to upgrade. It's a huge 
difference on older machines.

If you think OSX is slow, and not very useful, and you're still running 
10.1.x, well, you're correct. Get 10.2.
