Whoa, Jack. If my machine is out of warranty and I
need to save money on repair charges, then yes, the
info should be available; "ability to pay" should not
be the main criterion for owning a 'puter - (I will
avoid getting into Open Source, except to say that X11
is a free Apple product that enables you to use Open
Source SW).
