Hello?!?! Am I being ignored here?
I have posted this question twice allready and no replys from anyone!
I have instaled an ADvansys SCSI card in my G3/400, i have downloaded all the mac os 9 drivers and it seems to work but when i access my 1GB Iomega Jaz drive the whole machine freezes and i have to restart.
What is going on here? This problem is "iffy" sometimes it freezes and sometimes not for a little while but then it does.
I have downloaded the Iomega software from Iomega's website but it didn't help.
The drive is OK because it worked in my Win ME machine and MacOS9.1 seems to like the SCSI card even without the drivers!
Please help!
I am also going to buy OSX within the next week, does OSX have the same problem? And on OS9.1 there is "Web Sharing" is there something similar on OSX?
Thanks, Dan
I've similar problems with a DT 266 G3 under OS 8 & 9. I have an external SCSI HD which is connected once in a blue moon, but if it is even just connected but not turned (I know, I knowbad, bad, bad) I can read from the internal SCSI Zip, but any attempt to write to the Zip will KO the whole machine. So I only connect the external when I really need to get something off it (it's an old 800 Meg Maxtor - they use to make drives that small ;-). I've been under the impression that there's something not quite right about the way the Zip handles the SCSI connection.
