The updater didn't do anything for me, it said that it couldn't update the 
drive -- ASP says it's a Matshita CR-587, & I assume that that's the 
standard issue drive, so it must either have already been updated, or that 
isn't the source of the problem.

Anyway, when I set the video & the drive sleep separately, it seems to work
OK. Also, I didn't notice anything particularly slowing down after wakeup.
