Jim,
After the advice from Peter, I had the mgr open the package and confirm
that it had 16 chips before I purchased it. My "About This Mac"
displays 768mb. OS 9 ASP shows 256 Dimm in positions J3-4-5. No
operating problems whatsoever.
Did you get the Kingston brand? The label says KVR-PC133/256, Memory
Upgrade Module, Description 256MB 133MHz DIMM CL3. The cost was
normally 69.99 marked down to $34.99 and a $15.00 Kingston mail-in
rebate.

By the way, why doesn't OS X ASP show the individual ram modules and
their position like OS 9 does? Or am I missing some setting?
Also the OS X ASP says "No USB devices found" and "No Firewire devices
found", even though I have an HP 4in1 on USB and a LaCie CD burner on
Firewire? Both devices work just fine.
Regards,
Jerry
