... So, I guess its curiousity more than anything :) And I am wondering why
OWC didn't include this (shim and "tape" to hold it down) in their ZIF
package, but since I ordered this over a year ago I don't know where to find
my customer number to ask them the question (oopsy).

About three months ago I bought a 533 MHz G3 ZIF from OWC, and it also didn't
come with a spacer.

A spacer is *required* in order to properly install the ZIF in my Beige G3.

I "harvested" the spacer from the 333 MHz G3 this ZIF replaced.

Then, I bought a NIB "Six Slot Edition" ZIF carrier off of e-bone for my
9600/200.

That ZIF carrier kit included *three* spacers, and this ZIF carrier also
*requires* a spacer to properly install the ZIF.

Bottom line ... phone OWC's tech support group and request a spacer.
