I did the upgrade to 3.0.2 and was notified that Quicktime 6.1 is required. Then iMovie quit.
First I heard of this requirement. I believe the quirkyness of the first release could be acounted for by having 6.0.1, not 6.1. Maybe the requirement was in print in the original release, but I don't remember seeing it. QT 6.1 was released in early January, before iMovie 3. This could also account for why different folks have seen different results with the new version of iMovie. Some had the latest Quicktime, some didn't.
