Does anyone know where Apple has a standalone installer for Quicktime 6.1 for Jaguar?
Here's why: We learn that iMovie 3.02 requires Quicktime 6.1. (As probably did iMovie 3.01, though no one told us.) Do they supply it on the ILife cds even though the QT version came out before iMovie 3.02 was made available? No. So we go to download almost 20 megs of Quicktime on our slow home connection and have to use Monica ( a program capable of resuming interrupted downloads) to break it up into reasonable connection times. It takes all weekend. What do we find? We've downloaded 6.02. Is there any identification of version on the Quicktime download page at Apple? No. Can I find a standalone version to download at work and bring home? Not yet. Do I have to leave my machine connected all night to get an automatic upgrade? Maybe. Sorry to be so annoyed, but it is late and I've spent much too much time on this. Rich -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
