BEWARE of standard master-slave settings. My Beige G3 came
with a WDCaviar drive. When I went to install a new 120M WD Caviar
Drive, I found that I should not set it to either master, slave or
cable-select(CS) but I should set it to "neutral" which means either
pulling the jumper or setting it sideways (which does nothing but
keep your jumper for the future). This is what Western Digital
tells you to do when you are using one Western Digital drive. A lot
of people have beat their brains out on this one.
It is also my understanding that the master slave designation
determines which drive is identified first.
