Greg,

At least James gave us some evidence to his success with Norton. I rarely if
ever see anyone offer evidence to the contrary, only their opinion that it
is "bad". 

I am willing to believe that Norton is bad, but my science background
demands proof (not opinions). You will never convince anyone that it is
dangerous without offering your experience with it.

There are plenty of people with good experiences of using Norton. The last
place I worked at, it was the 1st thing run on almost any computer (Mac/Win)
that came in. We did so with great success. At times it was all the computer
really needed.
