Yes, it is a "regular" fax -- from the above and online reviews. One minute/page is extremely slow -- normal fax is about 7 seconds/page. Is this the actual time connected, or does it include dialling and waiting for the fax machine to answer? If not, either you have terrible line quality, or perhaps there is a problem with the modem or its setup in MacComCenter. The last time I checked this out, a year ago, TPC was the only truly free service left, and it covered the areas I needed, so I didn't look further.
