I have a beige G3 with a formac analog to digital PCI capture
card. I use it to get stuff off my cheep sony analog camcorder. OK
OK I know that I should not be trying to do this on a G3 (I do have
a G4 in it) because of throughput problems. And I have had the
expected problems. I finally found an Apple tech note specifying
what system settings to use on the computer to optimize capture.
(Notice, Apple never talks about optimizing performance by upgrading
hardware.) BUT HERE'S THE QUESTION:

Will I improve analog video capture by increasing VRAM?
switching the monitor to an ATI Card? or by removing the monitor
altogether???
