Hi to All,
This list has been a great help, reading as I lurk has given me
solutions to many problems.
Here's one that has been plaquing me intermittently, after the g3 has
awoken from sleep mode, it will not allow shift-select (shift-click) of
multiple items. I can still drag-select, but not shift select.
Hitting the shift key after clicking on an item also brings up a
transparent box with a sound icon in it. This turns the volume off,
which then must be reset from the menu bar.
The only way to get back to normal is a cold restart. Shutting down and
allowing the hard drive to spin to a stop, anything less (Restart) and
it's back to the no-shift-select and sound problem.
I'm running OS 10.2.1 on a beige mt, with 640mb and a G4 zif Sonnet
Encore cpu. Still have the original 6gig hard drive, with both OS 10
and classic on the single partition.

Thanks in advance,
Bob
