Hi again, Got the Liteon burner to work in the Beige G3, finally recognized by itunes although it won't "finish" burning a cd. I guess I'll have to use toast so I won't produce any more coasters...
I'll be copying cd's for my band so I thought I'd reinstall the original ide cdrom to make this easier. Unfortunately, after I had torn the thing apart again I discovered that the remaining 2 connectors are scsi, not ide. So... Is it possible to install an 8x scsi cd-rom from an old 7600 to accomplish what I want? Or is the slower speed of the drive going to present more problems than re-burning 4-5 of the same cd's?
