All browsers are very crashy, IMHO.
Well, first off, it depends on what you mean by 'very crashy'. If you mean 'crash nearly every time I use them', then you have *other* problems with your OS (like networking problems), it's a plain bad OS (most revs of System 7, imo, or point zero OS revs 9.0, 8.0, 8.5 vs 9.1, 8.1 and 8.6), you have underlying filesystem problems, harware problems, or you have a resource-starved system. (memory/processor/diskspace) which will cause *most* things to be crashy.
All of the browsers I've ever used (Mosaic, Mozilla, Netscape, IE, Opera, iCab, Safari, Camino, Firebird...off the top of my head) do crash on occasion, and some can even be termed crashy (early Mozilla revs were hugely buggy, as have been some Netscape versions)
If these are crashing a lot stop and think about what you do with your computer...if most of your time is in a browser, then you could have an entirely unrelated system problem.
I can't count the number of times I've had users here tell me 'I have a Word Problem' or 'I have a Netscape Problem' when it's occuring in those programs, because that's what they do with their computers most of the time...if you're going to get system crashes (which in the Classic Mac OS means about half the time the app is going to throw the bomb dialog, not the System) they will statistically speaking happen more often in the programs you're using more often.
Systemic problem causess aren't necessarily immediately obvious: A common cause of application crashes and system freezes are corrupted video drivers, for example.
