I'll have to look at it again. I saw the jumper block, but no jumpers.

So when you say: "... leave the jumpers alone ..." I understand that
that section tells the motherboard and CPU how to run, which is why any
CPU you put in a board set up for say, 266 will try an run at that
speed.

Hold the phone, I'm having a newbie moment here. I think I just realized
the jumper block isn't um, just a blank cover for the jumpers...oops.

Now I'm thinking in my futzing around with the board I put the block on
backwards. Which would definately answer my first question to the list
the other day. Ahem.
