A few months ago, I backed up my mac to CD using Toast Titanium.
It took about 6 disks - Toast backed them up with no errors. I did each one
individually. I now need to access some files on one of the CD's and I am
encountering major problems.

When I first put in the CD - I get an error saying "file sharing could not be
enabled"- even before it mounts on the desktop. When I clear the error, the
CD mounts - I can see the disk icon, I can see the title of the disk, I can
open it up and see all the files listed and the size. But when I try and
open
them - first by double clicking- the correct application opens them but then
nothing. When I try open the file through the application first for example
a
.mov file - the quicktime error says "not a file quicktime understands" other
files like pdf, jpg etc. say something about missing information. All the
icons and file sizes are correct on the CD. I have tried to copy them off
onto
the drive and they still don't open. I then went into "get info" for the
disk
and when to the sharing option and I get an error stating " this item could
not
be shared because file sharing is preparing the disk. Please wait and try
again. I tried again and again with no luck. I did notice that under the
general information of the disk it says size of contents 700.5 and its a
700meg CD.
Would this cause a problem? As I stated Toast burned it without error and
didn't state there wasn't enough room.

And as things go, the one disk that has the most of what I need on is this
one - all the other disks in the backup series work fine. Thanks in advance
for
any advice.
Linda
