When I had similar problems with my Beige DT, I removed the PRAM battery for 24 hours, put it back in and it all worked fine. I'm still with the original battery after 4 or 5 years.
I am guessing the pram battery, HOWEVER, all normal indications of a bad
pram (date and time, menu flashing, etc) are normal- it has the correct
date, etc.
Is this just a different way for a bad pram battery to manifest itself, or
are there deeper issues here?
