I have a beige G3 desktop that had some startup problems today, and before
I do anything serious, I wanted to check with the list.

Hitting the power key on keyboard did nothing. Hitting the button on the
Mac at first did nothing, then after a few tries you could hear an
electrical click from inside the machine and the lights on the keyboard
would flash once and then nothing.

After a few more tries, it did finally start up.

I am guessing the pram battery, HOWEVER, all normal indications of a bad
pram (date and time, menu flashing, etc) are normal- it has the correct
date, etc.

Is this just a different way for a bad pram battery to manifest itself, or
are there deeper issues here?

Thanks,
Len
