Hi All,
I�ve already started a maelstrom over this issue on other lists but I
thought I may try you all out as you seem to be the most well adjusted group
;) I have a beige G3 300mhz with 384MB of RAM and a brand new 12� PB 867 G4
with 640MB of RAM. I swear on my families good name that the G3 is faster in
many tasks, not the least of which is rendering video in iMovie.
I have the same computer (12"PB with 640MB ram). I don't have any comparisons to a beige G3/300, but I can tell you, it takes 2-5 minutes to start up and is, in some cases, slower than my PowerMac G4/400 AGP.
I can't think of any reason why it is so slow sometimes.
Can anyone help us?
