We installed a WD 40 GB Hard Drive 7200 rpm.. sometime back.. I believe it is a ATA 100.. How can I check for the ATA 66 configuration?

Russell,

Asumming the Sonnet 500 has a full 1MB of L2 that will help. But
although going from 300 to 500MHz is welcome any day, I don't know that
it would make a huge impact. The apps you mention with the possible
exception of web browsing and Pshop Elements aren't very processor
intensive. For a bigger impact, what about going further to 800 or
1000MHz?

He's got enough RAM; what about a faster HD with ATA -66 or faster
controller? As I recall the B&W models don't even have ATA-66 native on
the motherboard.
