Skip to end if you wish to cut to the chase.

November 15: Wife starts complaining about the G3 Beige giving her troubles.
I go out and buy the OS-X Puma set, install OS-9 onto it.
November 30: System still not completely stable. I decide she's going to
get a new computer for Christmas.
December 15: Bought my wife an eMac.
December 25: Inherited her old Beige G3.
January 15: Bought an ACard 133 for it on eBay.
January 25: Got the card. Installed it. Put a 2nd hard drive on the system
  Worked nicely.
January 31: Bought a JAZ drive on eBay. Paid $5.00 for it, came with 3 1-g
disks.
February 15: Got the JAZ drive. It was an internal SCSI. Opened up the
case, put it where the floppy was. Worked nicely.
February 25: Started trying to load OS-X (Jaguar) onto the 2nd drive.
Installer dies, screen goes black. Tried about 5 times. Rolled back,
installed OS-X Puma.
Mar. Started trying different ways to get Jaguar to load on the hard drive.
Finally discovered that if it dies, I can keep trying and eventually it
makes it through, about the fourth try.
Mar. 19: Having just stabilized my Jaguar system, I start to button up the
box. Pulled the Jaz drive out, put it on a mounting bracket, put it back in.
Forget to notice that the power supply connector on the back of Jaz drives
don't have the little white tongue to keep you from plugging it in upside
down. I turn on the system, and the whole neighborhood smells smoke right
away. Lost: ACard 133, 80 gig ATA hard drive, 40 gig ATA hard drive, Jaz
drive, HP 9100 CDRW. Motherboard is ok.
Mar. 20: Put the G3 in the junk pile.
June 15: Took it off the junk pile. Bought a Sonnet Tempo card. Bought a
30g drive. Worked fine
June 20: Bought a Sonnet G3-500. Installed it, worked wonderfully.
Found the original 4g drive, plugged it in on motherboard cable. Started in
again with the process of trying to install Jaguar. 4 tries later, Jaguar
successfully launches on the 30g drive. But with the Sonnet Tempo card,
Jaguar wouldn't install on a large partition, even on the HD that was
plugged into it. My experience was that the ACard 133 didn't have that
problem, it allowed the entire disk to be used for Jaguar.

Now: I have a problem. I can't get Classic to run. It loads up, fills up the
thermometer, and then goes away. I am running on Sonnet G3 500, 768mB. What to do?
