RE: my local comp-usa store has already the wind tunnels on closeout,time to start looking and maybe negotiate a deal,but buying may have to come later, I think, as with my presant TI PB 800,the closeout machines remained at the same price as their replacements for awhile,this time though things may be different
Yeah, speed is great, but look at the case design. Pretty, yes I like the
look, BUT:
No room for a second optical drive and only space for 2 HDs. Say goodbye
making copies of CDs or DVDs without buying an external drive - no more
cheap internals. I know now the capacities seem fine, but remember, this is
sponsored by the LOW End Mac list and when we start seeing these, (well,
everyone but Kyle : ) ) we are going to be looking for what we can add to
these to get them up to a currently usable system. I am talking 3-4 years
from now.
I am a big fan of expandable systems, (I agonized over keeping a 9600 or
moving to a Beige MT- I went with the beige, which is maxed out now) and I
think I may be looking at a closeout windtunel when these come out.
