Apple Apologist is a name for someone who gets sick of hearing people complain. No one is making you use anything so what do you care if Apple goes a different direction the choice to use or not use, upgrade or not upgrade, is ours. I don't know why people complain about software they don't like not supporting peripherals you can no longer buy, on hardware they don't own.

I don't agree with most of what you said but rather than argue I will
tell you that the 10.3 dev release runs snappy on my G4 733, snappy
like OS 9.2 on the same hardware, snappy like BeOS on 300MHz 604s and
P2s, it was just crazy. I will also tell you that for seemingly no
reason at all it just stops responding and many apps get the spinning
cursor, but eh, its 6 months out in dev still.

And Apple Apologists think that's not only par for the course, but
perfectly okay!
Me? I prefer my operating systems to be predictable and work with all my applications.
Something X just doesn't do well yet.
I don't say that's a BAD thing, but to call it ready for prime time is folly...
