Back when I was working as a mechanical CAD designer for a living, I forget exactly what it was the workstations were, but we got in ONE Quadra 950, and you should have seen the designers clamor for that seat, first thing in the morning! Load it up with RAM, and screen refreshing was quite tolerable. We all wanted one, of course! Out of sight for all of us. No way we could justify buying one for our own purposes...
