To me low density is a special requirement, as well as the addressing mode. For a 256MB, they must use 16 chips.

Not true. There is nothing special about the requirements, they just need low density, several people have noted this.

You are using the wrong kind of memory. The Beige G3 requires a special design and WILL not work with standard PC133 DIMMs.
These special DIMMs work also on B&W G3. I do have some for sale, brand new. If interested, please contact me off list.

I am currently using a Beige G3 with an ATI 3D Rage II+ DVD video card,
running OS 9.1. However, when I try to install Mac OS X on it I get a kernel
panic. The only things Ive had added to the computer is that card and some
PC133 256MB RAM, which is only accessed as 128MB each. Anyone know how I can get
this to work? ATIs website was no help.

Thanks

Chris
