Hi all, I just put my order in for a new G5. I'd like to move all my files over to the new Mac as simply as possible, but I'm not sure where everything is kept in the OS X system. For example, where are my Entourage settings kept? How about my saved mail? Safari bookmarks? DragThing docks? That kind of thing. I'm thinking those things would be kept in the Library/Preferences folder, but I'm not sure.
Also, what would be the best way of moving it over? I'm thinking I should just burn a CD with the relevant files on my B&W and move them over that way. Is there a better way? FINALLY, is there a way I could use my 80 GB IDE hard drive? The G5 has a serial ATA interface, which I understand is completely different from the standard ATA/IDE. Would a Firewire enclosure be my only option? TIA for any help. (Come on Apple! Ship that baby sooner than 4-6 weeks! Please?) Bret -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
