I am looking for a sound card that will for with OS X and drive a 4.1 set I have...I believe I would be needing something that can carry more than two channels, four I think. I know that card compatibility with a macintosh has been slim to none as of late and worse, specifically with X. If I can not find anything, perhaps I will look for something that someone has written a driver for use in YDL nix or maybe some other flav but support might be worse on that front. I do not think any of that sound blaster cra...er...stuff will work as it is all windoze only which sticks since it is pretty cheap. This is for a B+W and I am running X.2.4. I would rather use this for running any regular sound form my computer, and not just DVDs which would probably be OS 9 only and would have a greater chance of having drivers for a sound card, but since I use X as my primary OS, I would not want to boot 9, just to use a sound card.
Any information is greatly appreciated and I am on digest so if there is any other information I am missing, it might take a bit for me to find out...
Thanks again,
David Pekarsky
