Hello, thanks all of you for your advice about installing OS X into my G3 333, now I have a few questions and would appreciate it very much if some of you could help.
Today my Mac boot up by itself since I had it set up in OS 9 to boot at 10:30am weekdays, all the settings for my desktop in OS X, and the setting to show modem on top of the screen are gone and others as well, I remember last night I was in a hurry and pressed the power key on my keyboard to shut it down, turned off the display, one or two classic applications were running but no open windows or anything, why did I lose my settings? Every time I open iTunes to play an MP3 or sound file it seems like is making an extra copy. I converted all of my CDs to MP3s to preserve them longer a while ago, does that mean that iTunes will save them somewhere else and occupy another 4GB unnecesarily? The OS X disk is limited to 4GB. I selected three folders, the info windows said "3 folders" duh! well I wanted to get info for them independently, do I have to highlight them EACH to see their info like I had to do? Okay, I was so used to this super useful utility called FinderPop (similar to a Start menu in a PC and you could use it on anything), used it since 7.6 (I think but its been years) with a utility like that I didn't even need to make aliases since browsing was a snap, you could get through 5-6 folders, up to an appliaction with a single click. I thought that was going to be included as default for OS X. Is there an alternative? AND it is true that OS X wont crash? THANKS for all the help, TIA for these questions!
