When I used AOL OS X it connected directly since it was running in OS X. >Usually when attempting to use >AOL in classic mode it can't find the modem. I'm not sure what's >happening to you in the OS X version. Maybe same here, too bad there is really no direct network support in Classic, I had that even in Virtual PC with Win98. >Give AOL tech support a call (and >hope you don't get some guy in India who's reading off a script, yes, >that happens) Really?! No wonder I don't seem to get any people spaking good understandable english when I call, and AOL is not the only company I've experienced this with. This is upsetting. >and see if it's a simple setting somewhere. If that is >not the case you will probably need to update the AOL for OS X >software. Boot the machine into OS 9 and connect to AOL that way. :( I installed AOL OS X straight from the CD, for the looks of this I don't think I'll fix the problem anytime soon. Right now I am in OS 9.x (restarted with OS 9.2), and everything seems to be going smoothly. I didn't know I had to be tech to use OS X! Even logical stuff doesn't seem to work. I will go back tonight when I can and try again. Lil -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
