glen, what can i say?! thank you so much for sending such a detailed email - it's apparent that it can be done but not as simple as reformatting the drive!!
the ipod i have is an older 1st generation 5gig machine. the one i have is actually a replacement, the original battery died after 5 months! apple to their credit got dhl to pick it up, it was away for two weeks and then they sent me a new one!. i'll plum for the 1.2.6 updater as i'm not using aac files as yet (only by accident as that's the default option in itunes 4... took me 3 cd's to figure that one out!). apatec cards being ordered up but i'm gonna test it with the pc here at work first (has a card in it already). i'll let you know how i get on. again, thanks for your help - owe you a beer! cheers, jake On 11/8/03 4:11 pm, "Glenn Schunemann" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Jake, > > I have intimate knowledge of this procedure.
