My Network

Two Macs(G4,G3) and a WIN 98 PC (PC) / an ethernet Asante Router/Workgroup "hillside"
My G4 Mac is my primary box

Downloaded Dave evaluation , installed in the G4 & followed setup instructions provided.

After completing installation, at G4 "Go To Server" panel lists all three boxes in the network
OK
I and can connect the PC ( and the G3) and mount /open files a Shared File Folder from the PC
OK

BUT at the PC, Neighborhood Network lists the PC under the "hillside" workgroup. No Mac G3 and G4 icons are mounted.
Looks like I have a half-duplex system: Mac Share with the PC but no PC share with the Macs!!

I have had similar experience with the PC.

Ive had the network working and then the PC just would not see the MAC but the MAC will see the PC but windows would block it from logging in.

However the mapped MAC drives that I had set up on the PC would still work fine.

Windows you've gotta love it.

NOT

Mike

P.S. Only way I got it to work again was a reinstallation of windows. And that only lasted a few weeks. (Win 98 to OSx 10.2.6 and DAVE)
