Does anyone know if I can move my slave drive to a new computer as the slave also, and will be able to recognize my files? The OS will be the same on both machines, Jag.
Thanks. >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 08/07/03 09:29PM >>> I have a Beige G3 (w/G4) now which I'll be swapping for a B&W G3 (moving the G4 to it) next week. I currently have a 40GB master drive partitioned which I have OSX (in the first 8GB) and OS9. I also have another 80GB data drive with important stuff on it. Can I move the 80GB drive as-is to the new machine and it will recognize the volumes as they are now? I'm planning a full re-install obviously with the 40GB boot drive, but it would be nice if the 80GB could be just swapped as-is. I'm thinking it can't, but maybe I'm wrong :-) Thanks! -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
