You should terminate it, regardless. Most new drives require a wee little 
jumper, and that's it. If you don't have a spare (check the drive for one 
that's jumpered cross-wise on two different pinsets, then see if those do 
anything.. I bet that one is simply a spare), then goto Radioshack and buy 
a baggy of them for a couple dollars. 

The card should terminate itself, with the supplied jumper, your drive 
will be terminated. Both ends terminated, your job is done. Sleep well! :)
