Don't get me wrong, there are some advantages with PCs that most all out Mac freaks cannot see.
I work within the machine building industry and there is no room for Macs at all here (fortunately I write manuals and training material so I DO have the freedom of choice :o)
All machine control systems (Siemens, Fanuk etc) rely on RS232 and floppy disks, something the Mac gave up a long time ago. May seem dated but as one is often only talking about small text files being transferred, who need FireWire and CD/RW for 50KB files ?!?
The right tool for the job!! Just make sure you decide and not Bill Gates III...
