Use the Extensions Manager to turn off the boot-up of the CP (you can
actually go to "DiskLight" and turn it off, but having it not load to begin
with is more reliable. I highly recommend turning it off - it is the
buggiest component of the whole Norton suite - it tends to effect any app
that utilizes visual updating, like (in my experience) real-time scrolling
of an audio file playback. For ex., using Disklight is a good way to keep
ProTools from scrolling.
