Still thinking about Eudora vs. Mail. I should upgrade Eudora from my 3.0.1
version or use Mail on Jaguar.
I did. I used Eudora with OS 9, but find mail with 10.2.6 a very nice program.

Does Mail:

1. Have filters and multiple mailboxes? Can you customize headers to filter
like you can in Eudora?
Yes. Excellent filtering and no limit on how many mailboxes you can create

2. Allow you to delete stuff off the remote server before downloading, for
example, any unwanted attachments?
Don't know? I haven't tried using that capability. I have mine set to delete after downloading fro the server

3. Allow you to specify text mail only and set a separate folder for attachments.
You can set for text only.

4. Allow you to import existing mail from an older program, along with
mailboxes and so forth. I have quite a bit of mail I need to keep and be able
to refer to on an ongoing basis, and I need this organized into subject folders
on import into Mail.
Yes. Most all the common mailers with 10.2.6.

Many thanks in advance,
With Jaguar it is perfectly possible to have multiple mail programs. Try it out, if you don't like it, make Eudora the default mail.
