Run diskwarrior on that bad boy. If you don't have diskwarrior, get it because you definitely need it here.

Replace the battery.
My powerbook suddenly began misbehaving badly.
I booted up and the dialog box said error -127 on two of the HD
partitions. I tried to get into the HD and my system folder was empty,
ALL of my folders are empty.
The it tells me that the date time is wrong.
That today's date is January 1, 1904.
I have know idea what is happening.
I am running OS8.6, 20MB HD, 512 MB RAM.
