If that doesn't work, I might try moving the
80 gig drive on to the original first IDE bus that the stock 4 gig drive was on, and if that installation works, then move the drive back to the ATA PCI card.
Will this work? Am I missing something? I'd appreciate any insight into this problem that the list members can contribute.
This sounds about right. I think the pile of extras may be getting in the way. take it all the way back to stock (or close) and see what happens.
