The Oxford 911 chip normally has a 120 GB limit.

However, with some drives, that limit can be exceeded.

It all depends upon the drive's firmware, and perhaps other factors, as 
Oxford is faking the 911-drive combination into believing it can support 
48-bit LBA, by the use of clever, drive-specific, firmware hacks.

Oxford has a later chip, one which completely supports 48-bit LBA, and 
does so without firmware hacks.
