After zapping the PRAM, the course of action that I am planning on is ZIF, FW
Card, RAM, and Radeon. I know that there are a whole bunch of issues with the
Radeon, and if anyone has any heads up considerations, please let me know.
The only concern that I would have is the current ram in your machine. Some older ram (ie original 32 meg sticks), does not play nicely with newer ram or high speed processors. You may have to remove the older when all is said and done. I had no problem with the Radeon.
I went through a similar upgrade week- G4 533 (owc), 3 256meg sticks, Radeon 7000, and a 80GHD on an Ahard ata 133 card and the only problem I had was not installing all the drivers for my G4.
Just take it slow and fire up and use your G3 for a few minutes after each upgrade and you should have no problems.
Good luck Len
