I used a 52/24/52 Lite-on cd-rw in my Beige G3 (w/OWC G4) without problems. It was "fully supported" according to OSX. It burned well in all the apps. like iPhoto, iTunes, Toast, etc. I've since moved it to a B&W, and it still works great.
