I used a 12" PB at work for a very short time and I hated it! It gets way too hot. The material around the screen was separating from the case. I also had a chance to use the 12" iBook and liked it much, much better. I read an article in one of the Mac rags awhile ago and it said the 12" 900 MHZ G3 iBook was just a little slower than the 12" PB G4. Apparently all kinds of other data restrictions in the G4 handicapped it. Can't recall details.

This is all totally subjective mind you. I'd take a 12" iBook any day over the PB, unless I needed some specific HW requirement that the PB had and the iBook didn't.

Im thinking about upgrading from an iBook to the newly updated 12in G4
PowerBook. Does anyone out there have any advice, suggestions, horror
stories, etc about this somewhat new line of powerbooks? I like the size,
and portability of the iBooks, I would just like something more powerful
that can hold more ram. They look good to me, but Id like to know what
others think.

Thanks,
