suggestion 3 - burn a cross platform disk from the mac i can borrow a 'fast' burner from work - if i did this, would it preserve file names ect?
if the names are preserved, i may go for option 3 - seems the easiest as i don't need to copy the cd's data onto the pc, i simply need to convert the disks.
That would be the best. Disks burned with Disk Burner on OSX 10.2 are *always* hybrid disks; all filenames preserved etc.
You don't even need Toast: just stick in the disk and (if you set it that way in the dialog that pops up the first time) it appears on the desktop as an empty disks, drage files to it, drag to trash which turns into the Burn button and burn away.
If you have disk images already, use Disk Copy to burn 'em.
BTW, Windows can absolutely see multisession CD's...if you have a Windows system that can't it's really borked, you need to re-install Windows.
