I disagree. Usually the software that is bundled with the device makes it
into a copier. No individual peripherals come with software like that.
If your separate printer or scanner stops working, you can replace the individual item. With your AIO, if one part stops working (ie. the printer or the scanner) you'll end up replacing both with either new separates or another AIO (since you probably won't spring for the cost of repair after warranty is over).
