I'd like to get my girlfriend a DVD burner drive so she can burn her own DVDs. I've been shopping around, and found a great deal on an internal on Amazon.com. Unfortunately, the info only says it's compatible with PCs.
So my question is this: Is IDE simply IDE? Will the hardware work for her, even if the bundled software is PC-only? She has Toast, and iMovie, and some other stuff, I think.
Any guidance in this question would be most appreciated, and if you've heard any deals on DVD drives (internal IDE or external firewire), that would be great too.
