ISU has a policy in state to replace computers. Generally speaking it's once every 3 years (the maximum amortization period IIRC). There are a few departments that keep them longer, but only because they are under-funded. I occasionally see a good deal, like maybe once a year or so. :)

Anything else is still in use...I know we've never surplused any modern Macs from here...heck we haven't surplused anything newer than a P-166 Pentium PC, either.
