For Beiges, or earlier, you'll have to patch Apple DVD Player 2.7.

I've successfully run a Radeon 7000 and a patched Apple DVD Player 2.7 on 
machines all the way back to 7300s, 9500s, 9600s and Power Computing 
PowerTower Pro 225s (six PCI-slot, eight SIMM slot 9500 clone, with 
Beige-type ATX power connections).
